Rabid anti-Trump Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) is under fire after an X user discovered an old video of her speaking in a completely different manner from the current “ghetto” persona she projects within the political landscape.
The unearthed footage has raised questions about whether Crockett’s apparent change in persona is a strategic political move rather than an authentic representation of who she really is.
The clip of Crockett presents a sharp contrast to the figure we see today in Congress, with her speech appearing completely different in tone, dialect, and delivery.

Recently, Crockett came under fire following an attack on President Trump and U.S. foreign policy.
“I don’t even know why we fightin’ with Greenland. Why we fightin’ with Greenland? We fightin’ with Canada,” Crockett said.
“We fightin’ with Mexico. Yet we in love with Putin. What is happening? Like this is not America. This is a terrible nightmare. Somebody slap me and wake me the [expletive] up,” she added.
Many took to social media to ridicule Crockett’s unqualified and embarrassing tone and choice of words.

One X user wrote, “How does someone like that get elected?”
Another said, “Texas, how tf did you vote this clown in?”
Later, Crockett launched a personal attack on Trump, saying, “I would tell him to grow a spine and stop being Putin’s ho.”
Conservative commentator Clay Travis also responded to the clip, writing, “Jasmine Crockett, a congresswoman from Texas, calls Trump ‘Putin’s ho.’ Democrats are lost, y’all. I’ve never seen a party destroy itself like this.”

The irony wasn’t lost on other X users either, who agreed that Crockett’s sudden shift in speech demonstrated she had adopted the style to appeal to a specific demographic.
Others said Crockett’s outbursts were nothing more than a sign of desperation. “They need to keep trotting her out there—bonus for Republicans!” one person joked.
Crockett recently claimed President Trump’s record-high approval rating is due to voters being uneducated. Perhaps that assertion isn’t just a result of her inability to read the room, but also a reflection of her perceived political superiority.
“My takeaway is just like the election, we’ve got to do better at education,” Crockett said.
