CNN Anchor Fareed Zakaria Blasts Bragg, New York Bogus Trial Just To Get Trump

When liberal media starts to change its tune on the GOP, you know they can feel the heat too.

CNN anchor Fareed Zakaria, one of President Donald Trump’s staunch critics, asked during a segment on his show whether Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg would also file similar charges on other defendants with similar cases as Trump.

“The trials against [Trump] keep him in the spotlight, infuriate his base—who see him as a martyr and even may serve to make him the object of some sympathy among people in general who believe that his prosecutors are politically motivated,” the host said during his opening spiel on “Fareed Zakaria: GPS” on Sunday.

“I doubt the New York indictment would have been brought against a defendant whose name was not Donald Trump.”

Zakaria also cites a CNN survey in which 56 percent of Americans are highly doubtful that the former president will have a fair trial.

While not going into details, CNN’s foreign policy anchor focused on tackling how President Biden’s position is much weaker than he initially thought it would be.

“Trump is now leading in almost all the swing states. But behind those numbers lie even more troubling details,” Zakaria said.

“As someone worried about the prospects of a second Trump term, I think it’s best to be honest about reality.”

The leftist journalist continued, “I understand that polls are not always accurate, but in general, they have tended to underestimate Donald Trump’s support, not overestimate it. I doubt that there are many shy Biden voters in the country.”

Furthermore, for Zakaria, Biden has to do “something bold” to undo the trend, as it is “not working in Biden’s favor.”

He also hit Biden’s stance on the Israel-Hamas war.

“Only 33% of Americans said they approved of Biden’s handling of the Israel-Hamas war, which is now opposed both by people who think he is too soft and by people who think he is too hard on Israel. Meanwhile, Republicans seem to be uniting behind Trump,” said Zakaria.

The CNN host also lamented how Biden’s trials failed to bring down Trump.

“Whatever opposition he faced in the primaries has largely melted away, and the trials against him keep him in the spotlight, infuriate his base, who sees him as a martyr and even may serve to make him the object of some sympathy among people in general who believe that his prosecutors are politically motivated. This happens to be true, in my opinion. I doubt the New York indictment would have been brought against a defendant whose name was not Donald Trump.”
